Today marks the end of week two, and we get a look at the social conflicts that impacted the early church. Perhaps some of it will seem familiar to you also.

Romans 151 Corinthians 14 moves along rather quickly.

New Testament Reading: Day 13/21

Friday, September 5th, 2008

The major political parties have ended their formal conventions in the United States. And two passages stand out for me in today’s Scripture reading. First

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

and then

What then shall we say? Is God unjust? Not at all! For he says to Moses,
“I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.” It does not, therefore, depend on man’s desire or effort, but on God’s mercy.

Pay attention to the context as you progress through Romans 1-14
