The answer is this: God-made or man-made. It is important to remember that there are Hebrew roots of the Christian faith. Jesus was Jewish, and he observed the feasts. Many of the accounts of his life and death coincide with the feasts. So there must be a significance for us today, as these appointments have been preserved in the Scriptures and in practice.

When you read Leviticus 23:24-25, you learn about God’s appointed time for what is being observed today and tomorrow – Rosh HaShanah. Two encouraging explanations are available right now. One is at First Fruits of Zion and the other is at Tikvat Israel – both Messianic.

They will also be observing Yom Kippur, “a day of repentance and of restoration,” on Wednesday the 8th, and Sukkot – Feast of Tabernacles, on Monday the 13th.
